Something that some people that make Squidoo lenses is how important it is to make a real resource lens. What do I mean?
What is a resource?
It is something that is a real authority on it’s topic. Weather it is a book, a website, or a basic Squidoo lens. Anything can be a resource. If it looks and sounds like a resource it probably is one.
Why would I want to turn my lens into a resource?
Well, if you made your lens a resource then people would keep coming back to your page to refer to what you have written. This would also mean that if the person has a page similar to your lens then they might link to it. More links the better the SERP.

SquidooHQ’s New Layout
I thought that the old layout was a little too much. It just had too many parts associated with it. Now I think that the simplicity of this one is great. I wanted this squidoo blog to be simple and easy on the eyes.
That is why I have changed it. If you have been watching this blog long enough, you must have noticed the change.
Anyway, nobody knows better then the readers. What do you think of the change. Are there any problems you have with the new layout? I am just working out the tweaks.

When you make a new lens there are so many things that you can do for traffic. Seems to me though, that some people are to shy to do everything they can to get traffic.
One great place to get traffic to a new lens and get it found by search engines is through the critique section on the Squidu forum. Though, I do not see to many new threads here in a day. This is because people assume that it is mainly for squid newbies. That’s not true.
